Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 2+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensed or certified: PE, RA, IIBEC certifications (RRC, RWC, REWC, RBECxP), or university certifications (BECxP, CxA+BE) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required if driving for or on behalf of an ECS subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Perform building science & infrastructure testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations and inspections of roofing and building enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings and site plans; assist with drafting or CAD work when needed.
• Perform enclosure testing and assist with testing protocols and test plans.
• Interpret test results, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with forensic assessments, commissioning activities, and enclosure investigations.
• Assist with design reviews and repair design for building envelope components.
• Maintain familiarity with IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, and CSI.
