Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Building Enclosure Project Associate to join our Southeast Building Science + Infrastructure team in Baton Rouge, LA.

You will support building enclosure consulting projects through field investigations, testing, technical analysis, and report preparation, collaborating with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver practical solutions for varied facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture (NCARB).
• 2+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensing or certification in PE, RA, IIBEC, or UW‑Madison certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform building science & infrastructure related testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations and inspections of roofing and building enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings and site plans; assist with drafting or CAD work when needed.
• Perform building enclosure testing and assist with development of testing protocols and test plans.
• Interpret test results, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with forensic assessments, commissioning activities, and building enclosure investigations.
• Assist with design reviews, repair design for existing building envelope components, and peer review of specifications and submittals.
