Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, Southeast Building Science + Infrastructure team, seeks a Building Enclosure Project Associate in Mobile, AL. You will support building enclosure consulting through field work, testing, and analysis, collaborating with experienced consultants to deliver practical solutions for a variety of facilities.

This role offers hands-on field experience, mentorship, and opportunities to grow technical skills within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• Licensure or certification (P.E., RA, IIBEC certs) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support building enclosure consulting projects with field investigations, testing, and reporting.
• Conduct site observations of roofing and enclosure systems and interpret drawings.
• Assist with testing protocols, test plans, and data interpretation.
• Participate in design reviews, repair design, and peer review of specs.
• Maintain familiarity with IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, and CSI codes.
• Coordinate project activities, proposals, budgets, and client communications.
• Prepare clear technical reports with observations and recommendations.
