ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC is seeking a Building Enclosure Staff Associate to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team in Chantilly, VA. You will support building enclosure consulting projects, develop foundational skills in field investigations, testing, technical analysis, and report preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture (NCARB).
• 1+ year of related experience required.
• Certifications may be required depending on the type of testing performed.

Responsibilities

• Support building science & infrastructure testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations and inspections of roofing and building enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings, figures, and site plans; assist with drafting or CAD work.
• Assist with specialized building enclosure testing and development of testing protocols.
• Document site observations and prepare field reports describing findings and conditions.
• Assist with analysis of field observations and testing results to support project conclusions.
• Develop familiarity with building codes and standards (IBC and local).
• Support project setup and implementation under supervision.
• Assist with management of projects and preparation of proposals, invoices, and budgets.
• Communicate project updates with supervisors and teams.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Interact with contractors and site personnel during visits.
• Attend project meetings and assist with technical/administrative issues.
• Collaborate with staff and begin developing client relationships.
• Assist in preparing building science & infrastructure reports.
