ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Building Enclosure Staff Associate to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team in Mechanicsburg, PA. The role focuses on supporting building enclosure consulting projects, field investigations, testing, and report preparation within a collaborative team.

You will work with experienced consultants to evaluate envelope performance and assist with proposals, budgets, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Architecture (NCARB).
• 0 years of related experience required.
• Certifications such as EIT or IIBEC may be required depending on testing performed.

Responsibilities

• Support building science & infrastructure testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations and inspections of roofing and enclosure systems with guidance from senior staff.
• Assist with drafting or CAD work when needed and interpret drawings/site plans.
• Develop testing protocols and document field observations in field reports.
• Analyze field observations and testing results to support project conclusions.
• Develop familiarity with IBC and local building codes related to enclosure systems.
