Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Building Enclosure Senior Project Associate to join our Southeast Building Science + Infrastructure team in Birmingham, AL. The role includes leading building enclosure projects, coordinating teams, and delivering technical testing, reporting, and recommendations.

You will mentor junior staff, review design and testing results, and maintain compliance with IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, SMACNA, and CSI standards while managing client relationships and project budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture (NCARB).
• 5+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.

Responsibilities

• Manage building science and infrastructure projects from setup through completion.
• Coordinate project teams and direct site activities with field staff, subcontractors, and senior managers.
• Prepare and review proposals, change orders, budgets, and invoices.
