Job description

Building Controls and Automation Installation Technician Lead

Location: Reisterstown, MD

Pay From: $38 per hour

Must:
  • Experienced Building Controls and Automation Installation Technician
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the installation of Building Controls and Automation systems
  • Must have lead or management level experience
  • Strong familiarity with Building Automation, Lighting Controls, Energy Management (HVAC) Systems, Access Controls, and Surveillance
  • Must have strong communication and client interface skills
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering highly desired
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction and leadership to assigned team members as well as subcontractors
  • Participate in project preplanning process
  • Lead the execution of assigned projects
  • Identify customer issues and concerns, escalate accordingly to ensure problem resolution
  • Coordinate work with other trades
  • Run control wire per industry standards
  • Install conduit and fittings per industry standards
  • Mount and terminate controllers, sensors, and end devices
  • Troubleshoot wiring and terminations of field-installed equipment with test instruments
  • Mentor junior-level installation technicians
