Job summary

LONG Building Technologies is seeking a Special Projects Manager to lead control technicians, electricians, and subcontractors on building automation projects. You will oversee small projects, drive safety and quality, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with a focus on high standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of control systems, project management, and team leadership, including coordinating internal and external teams and maintaining OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or 9 years temperature controls installation experience.
• Expertise in programming and troubleshooting KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell, and similar control systems.
• Ability to legally drive a company vehicle.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Willingness to travel within area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage small, specialized projects from initiation to completion.
• Drive department sales and profit goals by supervising installation personnel and coordinating activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors’ installation and in-house electrician's work.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and promote a safety culture.
• Visit jobsites to inspect work and provide training and technical support.
• Recruit, train, and develop direct technical reports.
