Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America seeks an Assistant Project Manager to provide critical technical and administrative support to a rotating team of Project Managers. You will manage lifecycles including bookings, procurement, and change orders while driving profitability through invoicing and collections.

You will coordinate with sales, subcontractors, and internal installation teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience working as a coordinator or administrative assistant to project managers in construction/building automation or HVAC.
• 1-3 years of experience with project forecasting, budgeting or billing processes including reading a schedule of values and tracking costs.
• 2+ years of experience in building automation, building automation controls, or building management systems.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to locations and job sites as required.
• Ability to read control wiring diagrams, blueprints, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide input on estimating, value engineering, timing, resource needs for construction or direct-owner projects.
• Book projects accurately in Bosch internal systems and kick off project lifecycle.
• Ensure project documents and estimates are available to necessary personnel.
• Forecast costs and track to meet budget and forecast goals.
• Invoice projects timely and assist in collections to minimize aging.
• Coordinate material orders with Material Coordinator for cash flow and material handling.
• Collaborate with subcontractors or internal teams for maximum value in installations.
• Track and forecast costs across work areas and complete monthly WIP re-forecast.
• Identify change order opportunities and coordinate with sales to document and pursue them.
• Support engineers, owners, and contractors to ensure start-up and commissioning run on schedule.
• Provide leadership and input for estimation, design, installation, startup, commissioning, and training for building systems.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, owners, and contractors to ensure phases are completed accurately.
