Siemens Mobility in Cromwell, CT invites applications for a Building Automation Systems Specialist Internship. You’ll work on HVAC automation, building systems installation, and on-site troubleshooting alongside experienced technicians.

This 10-week program runs May–July or June–August, 40 hours per week, with opportunities to shadow sales and project teams and to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic building automation environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Students enrolled in or recently completed a 2-year technical program in HVAC/Building Automation or related field.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Onsite work location with no relocation or housing stipend.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Comfortable working in rooftops, crawl spaces, outdoors, on occasion.
• Hands-on role using tools and laptops for diagnostics and programming.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Team player with good communication and the ability to learn new software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based laptops; able to learn automation software.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on job sites with Siemens technicians learning HVAC automation installation and service.
• Gain exposure to sales by shadowing the sales team and understanding customer engagement.
• Rotate through service and project teams to learn installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Assist in diagnosing issues and performing maintenance on building systems.
• Interface with customers to document activities and explain system operations.
