Job summary

Children's National Hospital seeks a Building Automation Systems Specialist to install, operate, and maintain DDC and pneumatic controls across the facility. You will respond to emergencies, ensure environmental conditions, and support campus energy efficiency.

Qualified candidates have a degree in engineering or computer science or a relevant background with strong experience in temperature controls and building automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field with specialized training in building automation (Required).
• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years in system commissioning or programming DDC/HVAC controls (Required).
• 5 years of related, progressive experience focused on automatic temperature controls (Required).
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to operate hospital vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, program and calibrate Direct Digital Control Systems and pneumatic controls across the building automation system.
• Operate and respond to temperature control issues and environmental conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC components and field panels.
• Design modifications to pneumatic controls to improve energy efficiency and environmental control.
• Provide reliable customer service and troubleshoot control-related problems.
