Job summary

PVH Potomac Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineering Technician to operate and maintain building automation and HVAC control systems across the campus. You will lead troubleshooting, repair, and programming of BAS/DDC equipment and interface with central control systems.

Responsibilities include calibration, commissioning, software maintenance, and coordination with project managers, engineers, and vendors to optimize energy use and indoor air quality.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience installing and/or repairing commercial and/or industrial HVAC systems.
• Two (2) years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing Building Automation Systems.
• BACnet and LonWorks experience.
• Experience with Siemens, Automated Logic, Johnson Controls, Trane, and Reliable control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide BAS field support for safe, reliable, energy-efficient operation and maintenance campus-wide.
• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair building automation and HVAC systems.
• Work with project managers, engineers and technicians on installation, programming and commissioning.
• Evaluate repair options for cost effectiveness and total cost of ownership.
• Interpret as-built blueprints and recommend system modifications for remodels.
• Program BAS databases and sequences; monitor, troubleshoot, and tune control systems.
• Perform software maintenance, patches, backups, and antivirus updates on BAS/EMCS.
• Coordinate 3rd party vendor integrations and software-related tasks.
• Document daily assignments, preventive maintenance, and equipment logs.
