Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems seeks a Control Systems Engineer to support the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on configuring and programming HVAC building automation, developing software, and ensuring system functionality from component commissioning to field changes.

Ideal candidates have extensive DDC experience, familiarity with LON, BACnet, Modbus, and the ability to obtain required security clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, including programming, commissioning, and testing.
• Experience integrating low voltage building subsystems using LON, BACnet, Modbus, etc.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain required security clearances and/or badging for project needs.

Responsibilities

• Configure and program HVAC building automation and control systems (direct digital controls) and create sequence of operations.
• Develop and test software programs to operate the system.
• Support technicians by ensuring the quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs.
• Loading, commissioning, bench testing and troubleshooting system level building control systems and network-level controllers.
• Validate complete system functionality.
• Provide field change information to the project team for as-built drawings and software.
