Job summary

Baker Group is seeking an experienced automation professional to provide start-up, programming, and troubleshooting for building automation and control systems. You will collaborate with engineers and procurement staff, manage software updates, and ensure QA/QC through commissioning logs.

The role requires strong knowledge of PLC/DDC programming, network setup, and the ability to lead projects while mentoring junior technicians on-site at client facilities.

Qualifications

Four to seven years of automation-related field experience.
Associate degree in Electronic, Technology, or Automation related field or equivalent on the job experience.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Work with design and operation engineers and purchasers.
Start-up control components including PLC and DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, transducers, and related components.
Interpret SOO and apply to program logic; read and write ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming.
Mentor Automation Technicians I and II; lead medium to large projects.
Create and troubleshoot automation networks and graphics; map control points for supervisory controllers.
