Job summary

Baker Group in the United States is seeking an Automation Technician with 4–7 years of field experience to provide startup, programming, and QA for building automation systems. You will mentor technicians and lead medium to large projects on site, interpreting sequences of operations and configuring control software.

Responsibilities include setting up sensors, troubleshooting networks, and coordinating with engineers and purchasers to ensure safe, reliable operation on construction sites.

Qualifications

• Four to seven years of automation field experience.
• Associate degree in Electronic, Technology, or Automation related field or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret SOO and apply to PLC/DDC programming.
• Knowledge of Windows applications and basic databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup and commissioning of control systems including PLC and DDC components.
• Interpret sequences of operations and apply to program logic.
• Mentor Automation Technician I and II and oversee projects.
• Set up sensors, calibrate devices, and configure networking and alarms.
• Coordinate with design engineers, operation engineers, and purchasers.
