Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to lead master systems integration of building management systems (BMS). You will build control databases, create user interfaces and configure control systems per project specs and sales proposals.

You will provide on-site and remote support to installers and customers, perform field startup, commissioning, testing, and document results for the project team. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Must possess core knowledge in at least three: Building Management Systems; Niagara; Distech Controls; Building Automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus); HVAC Controls; IT Networking; Commissioning; Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
• Perform programming of control applications using various software tools.
• Perform job-site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Confirm proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.
• Approve and develop system graphic displays according to project specifications or sales proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Perform multifaceted system evaluation and diagnostics.
• Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and take corrective action.
• Document problem resolution and report findings back to Project team for customer follow-up.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
