Job summary

The Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee seeks a Government Operations Consultant I to provide budgeting and fiscal support for the Bureau of Environmental Health. The role develops monthly spending plans, reviews allocations, and supports procurement, salary planning, and grant management under the Fiscal Manager.

You will work with program managers and staff to ensure compliant financial operations, prepare reports, and monitor expenditures across state funds and trust accounts.

Qualifications

• Must be a current employee with the Department of Health.
• Must have two or more years of state of FL purchasing experience.
• Must possess experience with state of FL invoicing.
• Must possess State Budget or Fiscal experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides budget and fiscal support for Bureau activities.
• Implements business management practices and evaluates productivity.
• Distributes information to management and recommends operation changes to the Fiscal Manager, program managers, and staff.
• Reports directly to the Bureau Fiscal Manager.
