Job summary

Lone Star College – CyFair seeks an Analyst I, Budget and Finance to analyze campus budgets, forecast spending, and prepare reports and dashboards for leaders. You will partner with Managers and Executives to support budget development and ensure controls and performance metrics are met.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience; proficiency in Excel and Power BI is preferred. Travel within the service area may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience with budgets and financial analysis is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-campus teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and analyzes campus budgetary and financial performance.
• Forecasts spending and provides recommendations on funding or reallocations.
• Performs cost-benefits, operational and financial analysis.
• Assists with the development of the annual budget.
• Examines budgets and financials for completeness and accuracy.
• Supports day-to-day budget and finance department functions.
• Designs and develops reports and dashboards for campus needs.
• Works on broader projects and collaborates with management.
• Identifies ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
