Job summary

Lone Star College-CyFair is seeking a Coordinator III, Budget and Finance to oversee financial operations, including purchasing, travel, and accounts payable. The role acts as SME, trains staff, audits transactions, and reports findings to administrators.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience, with strong Excel and Power BI skills. Regular, full-time role located at Cypress, TX with potential travel within the LSC system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience
• Experience with travel and expense report auditing
• Experience with procurement policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities and support procurement policies and procedures
• Review and verify Expense Module transactions for accurate processing and reconciliation
• Serve as Prepay Auditor; provide guidance and SME support to staff
• Monitor and reconcile outstanding Accounts Payable checks
• Coordinate Travel and Expense (T&E) functions including budgeting and unencumbering funds
• Provide guidance on T&E policies and promote compliance
• Complete year-end processing for the Expense Module
• Administer reviewer workflows for the Expense Module and support workflow administration for other modules
• Collaborate with HR and Payroll to ensure T&E information interfaces correctly with the Expense Module and maintain confidentiality
• Develop, run, and analyze queries and reports for the assigned area to monitor expense postings
• Perform other related duties as assigned
