Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber in Shelby, NC for full-time, hourly work. You will trim and remove trees, operate and service equipment, and help maintain safe work sites and equipment while following company safety protocols.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to climb ladders and heights, and good hand-eye coordination. Education options include a high school diploma, with entry-level opportunities and potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights in various conditions.
• No fear of heights; capable of working with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cleans and splits large debris into pieces for disposal.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds debris into woodchipper.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, and operates trucks as assigned.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and safe at all times.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Performs routine safety checks and reports needed repairs.
