Job summary

George’s Breakfast and Brunch in Chandler, AZ is seeking a mid-level cook for a part-time, onsite role. You will prepare breakfast and brunch dishes, work the line during peak hours, and help maintain a clean, efficient kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of cooking experience in high-volume breakfast settings, food safety certification, and a teamwork mindset. Flexible mornings, weekends, and some holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of cooking experience in a high-volume breakfast/brunch or casual dining environment.
• Working knowledge of breakfast and brunch cooking techniques, griddle and sauté station experience preferred.
• Food handler certification or willingness to obtain local food safety certification.
• Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by a part-time schedule.
• Strong time management, multitasking ability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Experience with inventory control, portioning, and basic cost-conscious prep.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications for breakfast and brunch, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
• Work the line during service to assemble plates quickly and accurately during peak morning hours.
• Monitor food temperatures and safety practices, maintaining compliance with health and sanitation standards.
• Receive and inspect deliveries, rotate stock, and follow portion control to minimize waste and manage food costs.
• Keep assigned prep and cooking stations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
• Communicate clearly with front-of-house staff and other cooks to ensure timely order fulfillment and guest satisfaction.
• Participate in opening and closing procedures, including basic cleaning, equipment checks, and restocking.
