Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Specialist BRT / Complete Streets Design Lead for the West region, focusing on Southern California projects. You will guide day-to-day design delivery, coordinate multidisciplinary production, and support scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination.

The role targets a strong technical designer who can lead complex BRT and multimodal corridor work, mentor staff, and stay current with criteria and standards. EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of civil roadway/traffic design experience in BRT, complete streets, and multimodal projects.
• Strong knowledge of geometric design, transit stops, and active transportation facilities.
• Experience leading design through concept to final design and bid/construction support.
• Experience supporting scope, schedule, budgets, and client coordination.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and translate concepts into constructible design packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery for BRT, complete streets, and street improvements.
• Coordinate internal discipline leads, subconsultants, and reviewers for aligned deliverables.
• Prepare plan sheets, design exhibits, technical memos, quantities, cost estimates, and agency submittal packages.
• Support client meetings and document decisions, tracking follow-ups and progress.
• Mentor junior roadway and traffic design staff and ensure quality control of production work.
