Job summary

WSP is actively seeking Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project Engineers to support our South Florida, Washington D.C., and Boston offices. You will design BRT projects from concept to construction, provide technical support and project management, and potentially serve as Deputy Project Manager or Segment Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline (roadway, site design, traffic engineer).
• P.E. License with 7 to 15 years of experience in Bus Rapid Transit projects or equivalent.
• Experience working with transit agencies and department of transportations.
• Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a designer on Bus Rapid Transit projects at all phases, from concept to construction.
• Provide technical support and Project Management on projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing to a scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support larger projects as a Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.
• Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.
• Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
• Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.
• Management of technical staff.
