Job summary

YAI in Brooklyn is seeking a Program Manager to oversee health, safety, and habilitation for people we support across residences, day programs, and community settings. You will ensure appropriate supervision levels and program coverage while maintaining comprehensive written records and budgeting controls.

You will lead interdisciplinary teams, promote staff development, participate in hiring, and foster collaboration with families and external supports.

Qualifications

• BA/BS strongly preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support consistent with agency philosophy and department practices.
• Providing program/floor coverage, when necessary and maintaining documentation.
• Leading and facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective communication.
• Overseeing all financial systems and program expenditures within budgetary guidelines.
• Building staff morale and fostering professional development through supervision and training.
• Supporting hiring processes and maintaining a harassment-free work environment.
