Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Ambulatory Care Nurse (FGP) per diem in Brooklyn, Ft. Hamilton. The role supports nursing practice, clinical policies, and performance improvement activities across sites, coordinating care and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

The nurse will administer treatments, monitor responses, educate patients and families, and collaborate with licensed providers to implement comprehensive care plans within a patient-centered framework.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Bachelors degree in Nursing required for hires after 9/1/25; Associate degree may be accepted.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Records patient health history and documents in the EHR.
• Administers medications and provides wound care.
• Coordinates with licensed providers to develop patient-centered care plans.
• Triages and counsels patients, ensuring timely and effective care.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support patient flow.
