Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Ambulatory Care Nurse (Per Diem) in Brooklyn, NY. The role supports coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies to improve patient outcomes.

The position offers a per diem schedule with compensation at $70 per hour and requires NY RN licensure, BLS, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing; ACLS preferred. You will work with licensed clinicians and supervise staff while contributing to quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area.
• Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Collect patient health history.
• Record information in electronic health record.
• Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans.
• Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform patient triage.
• Assess and monitor patient responses to treatments and procedures.
• Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans.
• Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses and medical assistants.
• Support the coordination and implementation of nursing practice and clinical policies.
• Participate in quality initiatives to impact clinical outcome measures.
