Job summary

Nexstar Broadcasting is expanding our Rockford sales team to grow local ad revenue across broadcast and digital platforms. The right candidate will manage client relationships, negotiate with agencies, and drive a consultative, multi‑medial approach to client growth.

You’ll handle orders, contracts, follow‑up, and collections while prospecting and expanding the account list. A service‑oriented attitude and integrity are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in negotiating with ad agencies.
• Grow a transactional book of business through strategic pricing and outstanding account stewardship.
• Responsible for order entry, contracts, follow-up and collections.
• Strong at prospecting and growing account list.
• Play a role in the production of client’s creative elements.
• Be an advocate for our products and programs, both broadcast and digital platforms.
• Be a person: treat coworkers, prospects and clients with a service-centric attitude.

Responsibilities

• Broadcast sales experience is a must.
• Ability to hold meaningful conversations with decision makers.
• Ability to CLOSE.
• Demonstrates personal integrity to differentiate from the competition.
• Know that that word “no” is an opportunity!
• Proficient with popular social media and digital platforms.
• Make decisions without supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including: Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
