Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Rockford, IL, is seeking an Account Executive to support FOX 39 and WTVO with a consultative, multi-media sales approach. You will grow the client book, manage orders, and help produce client creative elements across broadcast and digital platforms.

The role requires strong broadcast sales experience, the ability to engage decision makers, and a commitment to excellent client service. A valid driver’s license and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.

Qualifications

• Broadcast sales experience is a must.
• Ability to hold meaningful conversations with decision makers
• Ability to CLOSE
• Demonstrates personal integrity to differentiate from the competition.
• Know that that word “no” is an opportunity!
• Proficient with popular social media and digital platforms
• Make decisions without supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including: Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with ad agencies and grow a transactional book of business
• Grow a transactional book of business through strategic pricing and outstanding account stewardship
• Responsible for order entry, contracts, follow-up and collections
• Strong at prospecting and growing account list
• Play a role in the production of client’s creative elements
• Be an advocate for our products and programs, both broadcast and digital platforms
• Be a person: treat coworkers, prospects and clients with a service-centric attitude
