Job summary

Nexstar Broadcasting in Rockford, IL is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to grow our local advertising revenue across broadcast and digital platforms. You’ll manage strategic pricing, close deals, and cultivate strong relationships with decision makers.

Bring proven broadcast sales experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently. A valid driver’s license and proficiency with MS Office are required; flexible scheduling is offered.

Qualifications

• Broadcast sales experience is a must.
• Ability to hold meaningful conversations with decision makers.
• Ability to CLOSE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with ad agencies and grow a transactional book of business.
• Enter orders, manage contracts, follow-up and collections.
• Prospect and expand account lists.
• Participate in producing client creative elements.
• Advocate for our products across broadcast and digital platforms.
• Maintain a service-centric attitude with coworkers, prospects and clients.
