Job summary

AECOM’s Greater Pennsylvania Area Bridge Engineering Practice is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer focused on bridge design. This role offers hybrid work with two on-site days weekly across multiple PA offices, including Philadelphia area locations, and collaboration on diverse transportation projects.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, reporting, QA/QC, and mentoring junior engineers. Requires PE license, civil engineering degree with structures focus, and a valid US driver’s

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with structures focus.
Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is a preferred qualification.
Professional Engineering License (PE) and valid U.S. Driver’s License are required.

Responsibilities

Conceptual, preliminary and detailed final design of new bridges and other transportation structures.
Analysis and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.
Use of computer software for analysis and design of bridges and other structures.
Preparation and/or quality review checking of technical reports and structural calculations.
QA/QC procedures adherence and mentoring of junior staff.
Structural-related project task management.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with structures focus
