Job summary

AECOM’s Greater Pennsylvania Area Bridge Engineering Practice is seeking a Structural Engineer with a passion for bridge design. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of two days on-site at one of our offices (Philadelphia, Conshohocken, Mechanicsburg, Pittsburgh) or Morgantown, WV each week, and remaining days remote.

You will contribute to design, analysis and rehabilitation of bridges, collaborate with a diverse team, and mentor junior engineers while delivering projects across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structures focus and four years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Professional Engineering License (PE) is required
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and detailed final design of new bridges and other transportation structures
• Analysis and rehabilitation design of existing bridges
• Use of computer software for the analysis and design of bridges and other structures
• Preparation and quality review of technical reports, design calculations, and structural plans
• Preparation and quality review of technical specifications and construction cost estimates
• Work independently and with teams toward development of structural design documents and contract deliverables
• Mentor and develop junior structural engineering staff; and assist with project management

Valid U.S. Driver’s License

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with structures focus
