Job summary

AECOM’s Greater Pennsylvania Area Bridge (GPA) Engineering Practice is seeking a Structural Engineer with a passion for bridge design. This hybrid role requires a minimum of two days per week in one of our offices including Philadelphia, Conshohocken, Mechanicsburg, Pittsburgh, or Morgantown, WV.

You will contribute to conceptual through detailed design, analysis, and rehabilitation of transportation structures, using CAD/FEA tools and BIM workflows, while mentoring junior staff and supporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with structures focus.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Valid U.S. driver's license and pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

Conceptual, preliminary and detailed final design of new bridges and other transportation structures.
Analysis and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.
Use of computer software for the analysis and design of bridges and other structures.
Preparation and/or quality review checking of technical reports, design calculations, and structural plans.
Preparation and/or quality review checking of technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
Working independently and with groups toward development of structural design documents and contract deliverables.
Following QA/QC procedures to ensure the technical quality of deliverables, and assisting with responses to client’s comments on structural design elements of the deliverables.
Training, mentoring and helping to develop junior structural engineering staff; and
Structural-related project task management.
