Job summary

HNTB Des Moines is seeking a Project Manager I – Engineering to lead the design of bridge projects and manage projects from scope through delivery for local and statewide initiatives. You will coordinate with cross‑discipline teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure client satisfaction while advancing HNTB’s SDA/SCA delivery approaches.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, plus the ability to mentor staff and drive project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop the project scope and fee quotation; assist in technical proposals and contracts.
• Serve as the primary client liaison; manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production.
