Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an engineering project manager for our Des Moines, IA office to lead bridge-related projects and manage projects through full lifecycles. You will coordinate with cross-discipline teams, develop scope, schedule, and budget, and deliver high-quality solutions to clients across Iowa and the Midwest.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, plus 2 years in task management or Deputy PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred or ability to obtain Iowa DOT/local municipal client experience

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotation and assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts per HNTB's SCA.
• Serve as primary client liaison and manage project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets to completion.
• Assist with client project scoping and contract negotiations.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
• Lead development and execution of the project management plan.
• Supervise and mentor team to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinate staffing and recruitment, development, and performance reviews.
• Support business development and client relationship building for strategic and mini-mega projects.
