Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Project Manager I – Engineering to oversee assigned projects through full lifecycle, from scope development to contract negotiations and delivery of the project plan. The role requires coordinating across cross-discipline teams to meet budget and schedule targets.

The successful candidate will manage client communications, supervise design work, and ensure quality outcomes on multi-million dollar initiatives, while partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required or equivalent experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotation and assist in technical proposals and contracts.
• Serve as primary client liaison and manage project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for projects.
• Lead development and execution of the project management plan and mentor team to project objectives.
• Coordinate staffing, recruitment, development, and performance reviews.
