Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience leading a crew to repair/maintain bridges and structures.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulations (OSHA/VOSHA) and DOT/VDOT procedures.
• Ability to plan work schedules and assign manpower, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a work crew for repair, maintenance, and replacement of bridges and structures per safety standards and VDOT specs.
• Estimate and document work accomplishments; provide ongoing coaching.
• Perform skilled tasks including carpentry, welding, concrete finishing; install/replace structural components.
• Place temporary bridges and manage emergency operations; provide traffic control.
• Ensure environmental protection during maintenance activities.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance; complete daily reports.
