Job summary

Merchants Mortgage & Trust Corporation is seeking a Loan Originator to source, vet, foster, and close relationships for its Bridge Loan programs. The role targets builders and borrowers in Fix & Flip, Ground Up construction, and related spaces, with a high emphasis on active deal-making and revenue growth.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of bridge loan origination experience, and an established book of business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 or more years of experience originating bridge loans and a minimum monthly self-sourced pipeline of $3m.
• Established book of business.
• Excel, Word and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and close on prospective bridge loan borrowers.
• Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with borrowers.
• Obtain all required paperwork and financial information from prospective borrowers.
• Report business development and sales activity.
• Meet with new and existing prospects.
• Help develop and execute business plans with thorough market and competitor analysis.
