Job summary

PRIME AE Group is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our Bridge Inspection Group in New Albany, IN; Indianapolis, IN; or Jacksonville, FL. The role leads field inspections for state, federal, and railroad clients, with travel across the continental US and possible international trips.

You will plan, execute, document, and coordinate inspections while mentoring junior staff and ensuring NBIS and agency standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 5+ years of bridge inspection experience.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• FHWA/NHI certifications for bridge inspection and related safety trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise bridge and ancillary structure inspections, ensuring safe, efficient field execution.
• Coordinate field logistics, assign tasks, and manage inspection teams.
• Interact with clients and stakeholders, maintaining professional communication.
• Prepare inspection plans, reports, and documentation per NBIS/FRA standards.
• Mentor junior inspectors and ensure training is up-to-date.
