Job summary

PRIME AE Group is seeking a Bridge Inspector to join our Bridge Inspection Group in New Albany, IN, Indianapolis, IN, or Jacksonville, FL. This role supports critical infrastructure safety through rigorous field inspections and comprehensive reporting.

You will perform routine and fracture-critical inspections, help plan schedules, arrange access, and document findings with photos and recommendations, while coordinating with clients and project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 2 years of bridge inspection experience; NBIS familiarity a plus.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred; NBIS/NHI certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and fracture-critical bridge inspections per FHWA/state standards.
• Plan inspection schedules and coordinate with clients to meet project requirements.
• Arrange access equipment and traffic control for safe inspections.
• Document field data with photos and comprehensive reports.
• Travel overnight as needed and communicate findings to project teams.
