PRIME AE Group is seeking a Bridge Inspector to join the Bridge Inspection Group in New Albany, IN, Indianapolis, IN, or Jacksonville, FL. You will perform hands-on structural safety inspections and help plan inspection programs for transportation agencies.

This role blends fieldwork with office activities, requires travel, and emphasizes detailed reporting, safety compliance, and collaboration with engineers to support safe, efficient transportation networks across the region.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred for career progression.
• 2 years bridge inspection experience required; NBIS familiarity is a plus.
• Physical ability to work in demanding field environments (heights, outdoors).
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine and fracture-critical bridge inspections in accordance with FHWA, state, and agency standards.
• Develop inspection schedules and coordinate with clients to meet project requirements.
• Arrange access equipment and traffic control to ensure safe inspection practices.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports with findings, photos, and recommendations.
• Identify deficiencies and communicate findings promptly to project managers and clients.
• Assist in estimating inspection hours, preparing proposals, and meeting deadlines.
• Adhere to safety standards, PPE usage, and fall protection.
