Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) seeks a Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to lead transportation-related bridge projects and mentor engineers across multiple offices. The role focuses on scope, budgets, design coordination, client interaction, and delivering high-quality structural solutions.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of bridge design experience, a PE license, and proficiency with MicroStation/ORD, with preferred IL licensure and bridge inspection certification. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering (a plus but not required).
• Registered PE in the relevant jurisdiction.
• IL Structural Engineer licensure preferred.
• Team Leader Bridge Inspection certification preferred.
• 10+ years of bridge design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects: scope, budgets, design coordination.
• Sign/seal work as required.
• Analyze and design bridges, culverts, walls, and sign structure foundations.
• Serve as point of contact with clients, contractors, and officials.
• Develop proposals and collaborate with CDI teams to deliver solutions.
• Ensure compliance with CDI safety procedures.
