Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm with offices across several states. We seek a Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to lead structural bridge projects within the Structures/Bridge Group and support transportation and site development teams.

The role requires 10+ years of bridge design experience, PE licensure (IL preferred), and strong leadership. Travel up to 10% is expected, with flexible scheduling and ESOP-driven ownership.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering (plus).
Registered PE required or preferred.
IL Structural Engineer licensure preferred.
Team Leader Bridge Inspection certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage structural engineering projects: scope, budgets, design coordination.
Sign/seal work as required.
Analyze and design transportation structures (bridges, culverts, walls).
Serve as primary contact with clients, contractors, officials.
Collaborate with CDI team to develop effective solutions.
Prepare engineering project proposals.
