Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our Mobility team in Georgia or Florida. You will deliver design and project coordination for critical transportation structures while interfacing with design and contractor teams.

Co-located in the project office, you will participate in progress meetings, work with senior engineers to resolve RFI’s/NCR’s, and ensure deliverables meet schedule expectations on major design-build projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience in transportation infrastructure.
• Experience in the design of concrete and steel bridge structures.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• EI/EIT Certification.
• Experience with AASHTO design codes.
• Proficiency with bridge design software including Bentley/LEAP/Open Bridge Designer, MathCAD, Microsoft Office, and MicroStation.
• Effective problem solving skills.
• Ability to take initiative and make decisions.
• Ability to work with little direct oversight.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively convey information to technical and non-technical individuals.

Responsibilities

• Co-location at the project office with frequent visits to the construction site.
• Participate in project progress meetings.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve RFI’s and NCR’s.
• Prepare reports for senior engineer review.
• Track and meet schedule requirements for deliverables.
