What you'll be challenged to do:
Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking an Entry-Level Bridge Engineer to join our growing Kansas City, MO or Omaha, NE office. This position includes structural design, rehabilitation, and inspection of bridges, tunnels, overhead structures, retaining walls, and other structures along with the preparation of load ratings, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates. In addition, duties may include construction inspection services. Day-to-day assignments and technical guidance will be provided by current staff. Applicants must possess strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to travel for projects, the ability to work in the field conducting bridge inspections and site visits up to 35% of the time and must be able to work well in a team environment on multi-disciplinary projects. This position does not allocate relocation assistance.

The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
