Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced bridge/transportation engineer to lead design and delivery of complex projects from concept through completion. This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio and opportunities for mentorship and career advancement, with relocation support for the right candidate in the Indianapolis area.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of bridge/transportation experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and PE or EIT; strong communication skills and ability to coordinate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4+ years of relevant bridge or transportation engineering experience.
  • Active PE license or EIT with ability to obtain state registrations.
  • Strong experience with bridge design and complex transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large or multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Proven ability to develop practical design solutions and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex bridge and transportation engineering projects from concept through completion.
  • Develop design alternatives that consider technical requirements, constructability, permitting, community needs, and regulatory constraints.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and other project documentation.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate technical, financial, and project management requirements.
  • Work directly with clients, government agencies, contractors, and other project stakeholders to resolve complex issues and advance projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and other team members.
  • Collaborate with bridge design professionals across multiple offices and states to share expertise and develop innovative solutions.
  • Help establish technical standards, guidelines, and best practices within the bridge practice.
  • Take an active role in project planning, budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and overall project execution.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • 4+ years of relevant bridge or transportation engineering experience.

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to obtain additional state registrations as needed OR EIT

  • Strong experience with bridge design and complex transportation engineering projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large or multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory considerations.

  • Proven ability to develop practical design solutions for complex engineering challenges.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work directly with clients and public agencies.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and financial skills.
