Job summary

RK&K is seeking Structural Project Engineers to join our Structures team to design and analyze transportation structures. Remote work or office locations are available with opportunities in Roanoke, VA and other approved U.S. locations.

You will utilize MicroStation, Leap Bridge, and other tools to design bridges, perform analyses, develop drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of civil engineering experience with bridge design.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with emphasis on structures.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Familiarity with DOT, AASHTO, LRFD standards.

Responsibilities

• Design bridge structures to meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Perform structural analyses using industry software.
• Develop detailed design drawings for construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with contractors and regulatory agencies to meet schedules and budgets.
• Maintain QA/QC standards throughout design and construction.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for safety and accuracy.
• Build client relationships through clear communication and innovative solutions.
