Job summary

RK&K is seeking Structural Project Engineers to join the growing Structures team focused on transportation structures. You will design bridges, analyze using leading software, and develop construction drawings while collaborating across disciplines.

The role supports remote work or office locations in the United States, with preference for candidates in approved U.S. locations. PE licensure or progression toward it is expected within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on bridge design and transportation projects.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on Structures.
• PE or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Familiarity with local DOT Standards, AASHTO, LRFD, etc.
• Adhere to strict QA/QC requirements.
• Experience with DOT, local municipalities and counties.

Responsibilities

• Design bridge structures that meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Perform structural analyses using industry software.
• Develop detailed design drawings for construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on bridge projects from inception to closeout.
• Coordinate with contractors and regulatory agencies to deliver on time and within budget.
• Ensure quality and compliance throughout design and construction processes.
• Review design calculations, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and safety.
• Build client relationships and communicate project progress with innovative solutions.
