Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Design Engineer to design transportation structures in Maryland and nationwide from our Hunt Valley, MD headquarters. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on bridges and other highway structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• EIT or FE certification preferred.
• Experience with bridge design and inspection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering tasks using AASHTO LRFD specs and design programs.
• Prepare bridge project documentation including plans, specifications and estimates.
• Participate in plan and shop drawing reviews.
• Draft using MicroStation.
• Assist in field inspections of bridges and structures.
