Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson's Richmond, Virginia office seeks a Bridge Design Engineer to design transportation structures to AASHTO and VDOT specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for bridges.
• Prepare structural plan details per VDOT/industry standards.
• Develop preliminary design reports comparing alternatives.
• Assist with quantity and cost estimates for construction.
• Review construction submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
