Thimble Alterations is seeking an experienced independent contractor to join our network of bridal and wedding wear specialists. You will alter gowns, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, and handle fittings and timelines.

You will work from home, receive local client requests through the platform, and choose assignments that fit your schedule. This role rewards precision, professional communication, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishing while keeping an organized

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precise measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and related bridal wear.
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace for fittings.
